Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Day 1:
1) ''It's not a diary! its a journal.'' Greg feels uncomfortable. He doesn't want anyone to know that he is writing a diary (journal).

2) He made a deal with his Mom that if he wrote in that book a little bit each day he wouldn't have to do one of the chores on Saturdays. Another reason is that when he becomes rich and famous he will not have to answer any peoples' questions about his life.

3)  "Be careful where you sit, because teacher may say that it will be your permanent seats." He was mad because he had to sit next to two people he doesn't like.

4) It's not a good option, because girls don't let copy off them, which could be a problem in a class like Pre Algebra. Moreover,girls asks to send notes to each other and in the notes girls often make fun of boys.

Day 2:
1) On a first day of summer vacation Greg's brother Rodrick woke him up in a middle of the night dressed in school clothes, and said to Greg that he slept all the summer.
Greg prepared for school and went downstairs to get his breakfast. This woke his Dad up and made him very angry. Greg tried to explain that this was his brother's joke but Dad didn't believe him.

Day 3:
1) I wouldn't like to have Greg in my class, because he copies all the homework and makes fun of his classmates.
2) Greg didn't expect being a big brother would turn out like this. He thought that he would be able to treat his younger brother as Rodrick treats him. However, his parents looks after Manny too much. Also, he doesn't like that if Manny finds anything he destroys it.

Day 4.

1. Cheese Touch is a 'game' which was started by Darnell Washington when he touched the nasty cheese on the basketball court. Since then children try to avoid being touched by others who had Cheese Touch. Or if they got touched they had to pass it to somebody else.

2.Greg taped his fingers because it was the only way to protect himself from Cheese Touch. As it was difficult to keep your fingers crossed all the time he decided to tape his fingers in this position.

Day 5.

1.Greg likes Saturdays, however, he cannot enjoy them as he would love to. First of all, Dad wakes him up early in the mornings while we wants to sleep. Also, there is nothing on TV after 1 pm.

2. Greg hasn't mentioned Rowley before because he always makes him feel embarrassed in front of his other friends. Instead of saying 'hang out' Rowley uses word 'play'. As Greg wants to keep 'cool' kid's image he tried to avoid his best friend the first week of the school year.

Day 6.

1. Greg is worried about being sent to Bishop Garrigan High school. One of the reason is that it is boys only school and he would be surrounded by stronger boys that could easily make fun of him.

Day 7.

1. Greg doesn't enjoy his school mornings because he has new responsibilities. He has to fix his little brother breakfast while his Mom is getting ready for work. He also needs to clean after his brother when he makes a mess.

2. He wanted to appear less smart than he is to get into easier reading group. He didn't try hard enough during his screening test and end-of-year essay.

I really liked this book, because it had very funny moments. Moreover, it shows boy's life and feelings that sometimes could be compared to ours.
